When KESSY is activated the doors will unlock if the key is within a foot or so of the car. When deactivated you can hold the key against the door handle and it won't unlock. The only downside is that you must remember to deactivate every time you lock the car. I keep the key in a drawer in the lounge at the back of the house.
Yes you can on Octavia 4 but with manual lid not automatic. Lock the car with kessy then open the rear lid and throw the key inside. Close the lid. If you fail to reopen the next 10 secs the key will be locked inside. The situation is described in the manual and there’s a good reason why it happens.
